Hi! I have done three rounds of stimulation with down regulation (long protocol, but not with the same meds as you) and one short protocol. I got huge response with long protocol with enormous ovaries which caused me pain both before and esoecially after EC, but not necessarily high quality eggs from it. Now lastly I had the short protocol, and that was soooo smooth in comparison. But we people react differently to even exact the same meds and dosages, so I wouldn't expect you to have the same experience as I had. And well, now a month has passed since you wrote your post. Any news? How did everything go this time??? ❤❤❤
thanks so much for your reply. I have heard the long protocol is really rough. how did you get on with short? Sadly not great. the letrezole worked, I had 2 good size follicles at 6 day scan, started stimms and then at 8 day scan nothing had grown, so we stopped. I honestly think Mt body hates the stimms. I've now on day 15 ovulated. so no idea what's going on lol xx
Oh, I'm sorry your body didn't respond as hoped 😥 This time with the short protocol I started with Menopur (menotropin) the second day of my period, then, adding after some days the Fyremadel (ganirelix) which I took for five days, the last day was the day of the scan and the "go" for Ovitrelle (choriogonadotropin alfa) trigger injection. And then the Progesterone supply from the day of EC. I got nine eggs collected, five got fertilised, three developed normally the first 24 hours, but only one reached the blastocyst stage... But that was way better than the four scrap eggs they collected in November 🤪🤪🤪
(Not 100% sure I responded what you asked about, but oh well, I'll try to do it better next time if you please try to explain to me a little better what exactly you wanted to know 😘)
