Stopping oestrogen after BFP

Hi all,

My daughter had 3 cycles, first 2 no eggs 3rd cancelled. She asked to try natural modified which resulted in 1 egg. She is now 8 weeks pregnant.

Clinic stopped oestrogen meds after 7 week scan and she is now very emotional and irritable. Has anyone else experienced this? Should she have been weaned off?

She is still taking progesterone pessaries .

It’s the progesterone that often creates those symptoms - and they increase as placenta starts taking over and creating its own hormones. It’s very natural in pregnancy x

I was taken off my oestrogen at 7.5 weeks too after heartbeats confirmed on scan. I'm 13 weeks now and haven't had any issues. Just stopped the progesterone as well xx

Hello nun, I did my journey in Ukraine, where I don’t think my clinic made me on oestrogen at all. I only took progesterone pessaries. Must be something specialized for individual cases perhaps. I know it differs from fresh to frozen transfer. Our clinic told us at viability scan we could stop progesterone too at 8 weeks +2 day. I felt so nervous about that. I also had seen others taking it for 10 -12 weeks (think frozen transfers take it longer), so they let me keep taking them out that week. But they made it stop at 9 weeks.. and all was well! I would of course follow my clinic's advice - they are the experts and they would want every success for me (at least I would like to think so). I would also like to think they know what they are talking about - easier said than done I know - even. I struggled to listen to them with our progesterone 😂. I think it’s amazing.
