I’m 11dp5dt, did another test today and line is stronger and weeks indicator on clear blue has gone from 1-2 to 2-3 weeks which I’m over the moon about. Ever since my FET I’ve had mild cramping on and off, nothing too serious just like period pains which my clinic has said is normal. I’m now terrified the cramps will become something more sinister.
I just wondered if anyone could share experiences of cramping they had, how often, if they were mild or one sided etc.
I feel like this is worse than the TWW as it feels like I’ve now got everything to lose 😭
Thank you in advance!

congratulations on your BFP. Like you clinic say, cramps are very normal in pregnancy. I had them pretty much all the way through! Sometimes stronger than others. They moved around, and were different as the month progresses. Your uterus has a lot of changes to do over the next 9 months! Try and chill and think positive xx
Hey. Congrats on your BFP.Welcome to the anxiety train. I had and continue to have very very strong cramping I'm 7 weeks today. This can vary from what feels to me on par with ovulation pain on one side. To tightening and dragging centrally. And then what feels like really low in my groin. I have adenomyosis so get bad period pains and some of the cramp pain level is on par. I continue to feel like it can't he normal. Not this much pain. So completely understand how you are feeling. I am lucky and have a nhs Dr who is super understanding and has been happy to let me have 6 hcg tests to try and calm myself. But I'm now at a point where there's no pint doing them now really. So now have to wait for a scan on 24th.... not sure I can do that tbh.
But know yiu aren't alone and apparently it is normal to have some cramping. Whatever some means who knows 🤷♀️
I’m definitely on the train! I’ve now gone to stressing when the cramps aren’t there 🙈 blood test tomorrow, they said a scan in 2-3 weeks so I’m hoping it’s 2! Good luck with your scan! Hopefully it comes round quick for you xx
Hey! I just got my BFP on Wednesday and I’m having loads of cramps, my clinic said it’s totally normal and that I should expect to feel like I’m getting my period. So try not to worry x
I didn't know I was pregnant this time around as my cramps were so similiar to typical period pains, and I was spotting and thought I'd had a light period. Cramps and twinges are very normal in pregnancy throughout. At this stage think about what your body is having to do in a ridiculously small amount of time - grow a new organ! The placenta is also very complex and needs a new blood supply. Your uterus has to expand rapidly. You'll need 50% more blood flowing around your body and it needs more blood vessels to do that plus more relaxed and bigger existing vessels. Your ligaments and joints need to soften and stretch and all your organs need to move around and out of the way. Your internal body basically becomes a caterpillar going through metamorphosis inside. Look up relaxin and what it does and that peaks in early pregnancy. Then as the pregnancy progresses you'll probably get round ligament pain and that's another level again. Obviously if you're worried and get bleeding or severe or one sided pain, pain in shoulders or any other ectopic type symptoms (look on the NHS website) then get help. You can also get hcgs done for reassurance and private scans. But otherwise keep thinking about what massive changes are going on in there and you may find soon that you start to worry when you don't experience cramps and twinges for a day or two
This was so helpful, thank you! I think I’m at that point - I’m now worried when I’m not getting the cramps! Such a nightmare 🙈 blood test tomorrow will hopefully give reassurance x
I agree - totally normal and makes you convinced your period is coming and it is all about to be over. I started out telling myself as long as there was no blood when I went to the loo I was fine. I was peeing every 30 minutes so that was a helpful check! Then I had some light bleeding, thought it was all over and was told that is normal too! Had my scan and all was well! Try to enjoy it 😀
18 weeks and totally agree with the comments above! Nobody tells you about all the pains, cramps, twinges etc! I’ve been having then on and off all the time. Some feel like period pains, some like a sharp stitch. Some even take my breath away. But as Mrs O says just think about what your body has now started to to do to grow this little bundle of cells into a little human.
Welcome to the mad house! It’s a bumpy ride but it does get easier the further along you get. Congratulations!
