I’m halfway through my 2ww and since going back to work 3 days ago I’ve been getting really bad reactions to my progesterone supplements. A while after I’ve taken them I bloat up and I get pains in my stomach. It’s meant to block you up but I am having the complete opposite effect (sorry TMI).
Anyone else been through the same? I was fine before I went back to work and I’m worried that I am putting too much stress on myself.

Sorry you're having issues with the pessaries, I had irritation but not bloating, I had to switch using to the back and then when I did I also had issues.
Hi not crude at all. Using it up the front already. Which has been fine. Nurse said it might be a stomach bug but they don’t suggest using a probiotic I’ve got as it hasn’t been proven safe during ivf ☹️
Maybe a natural live yoghurt? And mint tea? And soda water with fresh lime squeezed in should all help xx
Hi, I was putting them up the back but had the same, terribly upset stomach, the nurse just told me the same, that it was probably a tummy bug - which I knew it wasn't.
It did calm down after a few days I think maybe my body was trying to reject it, but then sort of got used to it.
I started waking up early and putting it in at 5am and going back to sleep which gave my body time to settle before I was walking about which sounds bonkers but definitely lessened the runs...! I also lay around a lot more for the evening one.
Good luck with your cycle x
Hi, I’m on the pessaries too and one day I’m fine, the next constipated and then loose stools on another. When it’s really bad I tend to have warm drinks which helps my stomach settle. Hopefully things get easier for you sooner rather than later. X
I definitely had similar issues using cyclogest pessaries. It had a yucky effect on my bowels. Really windy and loose when I went to the loo 🤭 Not very nice. Hoping you can get some relief xx
