That wonderful time has arrived and I am due to start the cyclogest pessaries tomorrow. 400mg twice daily, FET is on Wednesday 😬
The front of the packet says to use the ‘front door’ which I started off doing last time but then switched to ‘back door’ as it was much easier. Was just going to do ‘back door’ the whole time this time round but not I’m second guessing myself?
Does anyone know if it makes any difference doing front or back?
Also timing wise, was going to do one morning and one night but does it have to be same time each day? 😩
Help! Don’t want to get it wrong!

I've always used back to limit the mess! I was told by clinic to do 12 hours apart but in reality its been first thing in morning and last thing at night most days
I am using back door too most of the time. I checked with the nurse and she said both are equal except back is easier for women. I hope it works either ways. Good luck
Snap - I started mine this morning and have FET of a donated embryo on Wednesday too. I’m taking mine 3 times a day and have been told to try to keep them evenly spaced at 8 hours apart. I’m going to use them vaginally with granny pants to limit the mess!
Ah FET twins! I called the nurse in the end and she said to do back until the transfer then after the choice is mine 🤷🏼♀️ seen much conflicting advice that I don’t think it matters either way really.
Good luck with it all, fingers crossed for us both 🤞🏻
My clinic specified back door. Apparent it make things easier for the person carrying out the embryo transfer as things can get a bit, erm... messy otherwise! I think it varies from dr to dr though.
I alternate, back door less messy but seems to cause more constipation issues...so front door at night when basically laying down and back door in the morning. After a few days I found this rhythm and it seems to be a good balance of mess and other related issues!
