I will hopefully be going for my first FET after my first round of IVF failed in September. We have 2 x grade 2 embryos frozen. I’ve been told I will need to take oestrogen tablets 3 times a day for 11-12 days then scan and hopefully then transfer 5 days later. Then start pessaries, this time I’ll be on 2 x pessaries morning and night so 800mg in total. Is this a standard FET? I’ve seen ppl talk about other drugs etc. Anyone had success with this FET procedure? I was very sensitive to the hormones in the last ICIS and spent then whole time very nauseous. Do the oestrogen tablets have many side effects?
I’m excited but nervous to get going. Only just started to feel myself from last time.

Hi! Good luck with your journey! I’m currently 9weeks pregnant following what sounds like identical circumstances. Still taking 3x oestrogen, 2 x pessaries daily. I guess it’s pretty standard procedure. I do think they are making my morning sickness worse but I guess it’s just all part of the FET journey… hopefully it makes the end result all the sweeter! Hang on in there
Hi ! I’m also about to start my first FET after our fresh failed in late August (first round of IVF). I too have found it incredibly tough since then and I’m only just feeling more like myself. It looks like we are on the same protocol too other than I have 2x cyclogest pessaries a day. Wishing you all the best with your cycle 🍀
