Hi firstly thank you for all your informative posts. I'm a first time poster. Today I am 8dp5dt FET and tested this morning. BFN. I tested although early because of the symptoms I have been having for the last few days:

Sore breasts, nausea, cramping, strange taste and smell-even water tastes off, thirsty, increased urination.

I know most of this is probably due to the PIO shots, progesterone pessaries and oestrogen tablets but i was sure I would get a positive as some of the symptoms are not reported side effects.

Now I'm absolutely heartbroken as this was our 3rd failed transfer. Is there any hope or am I kidding myself?

Day 8 can be too early for a positive. There are lots of ladies on here who've not got a BFP until day 9 / 10 - everyone is different.

Try and hold off for another day or so and test again.

Thank you, I am rubbish at holding off, I suppose I'm subconsciously trying to prepare myself for another failed transfer xx

I know what you mean - I think you will probably have a gut feeling but they're not always right.

We had 6 transfers before it worked, so even if this one is a negative please don't give up hope xx

hey lovely it can depend what type of test you used. I’ve always had my result by day 8 on early detection but a close friend of mine it took until day 10 to show up (also a FeT) and she has a little girl from that round she tested day 7,8 and 9 and all negatives until day 10! Xx

I really hope this result changes for you. But reading online doesn’t give you hope does it. So many people getting positives that are clear at 4dp5dt, blows my mind! I’m 7dp5dt and I’m determined I’m not testing until 10dp5dt. I’m in work and can’t be dealing with feeling rubbish. I already know it hasn’t worked as I have had so many failed transfers. And two that stuck for a short time had totally different feeling with cramps sore boobs etc. I don’t even have anything from the meds. I just don’t think it will ever happy for me. This is my 10th transfer, which is crazy to say. I almost feel embarrassed that I’ve had so many. Wishing you all the best for otd and will be here to lend an ear if you don’t get the result you wish and would like to vent 🫶

Oh my gosh I'm so sorry that you have had so many without success. You are absolutely right that so many people have their BFP so early on that it makes each subsequent day so much harder with a BFN. It's so hard to not think about it. You still have lots of time yet and I believe a lot of people don't have any symptoms at all and go on to be successful. I hope this is your time. Sending lots of baby dust and likewise xxx

8dp5dt is still quite early, and a negative test at this point doesn’t necessarily mean it’s over. Many people don’t get a positive until closer to OTD, so there’s still hope. It’s so hard not to over-analyze every symptom. Your body is going through a lot with the meds, but that doesn’t mean this cycle isn’t working.

Thank you so much. Still negative today but trying to stay as positive as I can. I still have all of the above symptoms so trying to hold onto that and hope that they are for the right reason and not the meds. Xx
