Am a little stressed out. I have had some little spotting for the past 3 days. It has mostly been when wiping and is brown in colour. Today I had a small dark red smear on the tissue paper after wiping and none since.
It’s driving me crazy the clinic are not concerned they keep telling me it’s old blood and not to worry about it but after what happened last time I just can’t help it.
Am constantly thinking the worse and 2 weeks for the scan seems like ages away
Hi Ariel. It could just be a bit of irritation from using pessaries if you have been prescribed them. If so, you could use them in your back passage for a few days to give the front a rest. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, just in case you might have a bit of an infection. Try not to get constipated either. Speak to your GP if it continues. Good luck! Diane

I had it from 5 weeks in my last pregnancy started as old blood, went further to bright red. Like you, i was worried. I booked private scan for reassurance and they checked but couldn’t find anything. Baby was fine and i was fine. It went away at about 7 or 8 weeks. Drink plenty of water and try to get plenty of bed rest. If you can avoid doing nothing please just stay in bed. That was the advice i was given by my IVF clinic abroad when i started bleeding. My daughter is will be 2 on friday.
