Cyclogest and spotting

Hey my lovely ladies. Hope you are all well and happy!

Quick question πŸ™ˆ When I started cyclogest I did it rectally but yesterday 5dpt decided to change to the front. Today 2 hours after my pressarie I started very light spotting here and there. Do you think the pressarie can irritate the cervix? I’m on 2 cyclogest and 2 Lubion shouldn’t be getting any bleeding yet 😳😳😳😳😳

Sending much love to you all! πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•xxx

Hi I have only used pessaries in the front apart from transfer day which was rectally. I have to use 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening.

No spotting or bleeding but starting to get irritation now x

With my two previous transfers I’ve never used the front but back. I will try rectally again so hopefully things will calm now xxx

Hi hun, I only used rectally (as was told to only insert there) as was told that it can cause irritation in the front. I'd maybe just ring your clinic in the morning they will probably suggest you revert to the back door 🀭

I hope you're resting up and being kind to yourself πŸ’•

Thanks for your reply hun. With my two previous transfers I never used front anyway. I sent a text to the clinic earlier so they advised me the same to just do it rectally xx

Hey lovely, I always do mine vaginally and I've always had a hit of spotting with them xx

Phew good to know that. I’ve never done them vaginally and from this evening I went back rectally so hopefully things will settle xxx

I was told the same, rectally avoids irritating the cervix (and avoid spotting) xxx

I would say don't be too concerned about spotting as it's super common (in pregnancies), but I wouldn't take my own advice and I would be concerned (for no good reason) and I would say ring your clinic anyway. By the way - my clinic said to do the pessaries rectally as they absorb better and if you do in the front a lot of it just seeps out (for want of a better word).

I have a bad experience with spotting with 4 chemicals all together and everything with pinky colours freaks me out lol πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ I’m back to rectally from tonight so let’s hope things settle xxx

Yep, definitely caused lots of spotting for me. Even after the 2WW so I switched to rectally too.

Hope you are coping ok in the horrible 2WW xx

Phew good to know that. I switched back to rectally. Spotting has slowed and turned brown and is not every time I use the loo. I pray with all my heart it stops πŸ€žπŸ€žπŸ€žπŸ€žπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Ah the joys! On my first round I only ever did them rectally and still got spotting. I wouldn’t worry about it if possible it’s quite common to get spotting x might be implantation bleeding 😬

Hi Klndmr, hope you're well and don't mind me messaging you and jumping onto your post. Do you mind me asking if your brown spotting stopped when you switched back to rectal? I've had 3 losses and curtently 6+5 weeks pregnant. I have been using cyclogest since my positive pregnancy test and was using them vaginally. I started spotting and so the recurrent miscarriage clinic said to switch to rectally which I've been doing for last couple of days and I'm still getting spotting πŸ˜”

Hey- I know this post is over 2 years older! But would you mind me asking what the outcome was with your pregnancy? I am also in the same situation, 3 previous losses and now spotting at 7 weeks
