I know :( I had one last year and had to wait 6 months as they stopped doing them, then when I needed another this year the wait was over a year in my area! I therefore did one privately with my clinic and it wasn't too bad costwise (500 quid), the proviso being they could not do absolutely everything an NHS one would due to limited equipment. Definitely worth looking into the private option if time is not on your side and you can afford the extra cost. xx

It depends if you’re having it under general or local (or none in my case as I have a local anaesthetic allergy). General was up to 9 months, local I waited 6 weeks. Privately it was really expensive which is why I waited the 6 weeks and opted for no pain relief. I guess it also depends on your area too! Xx

Hey there, I waited about 3 months for mine (north west) and didnt have any anaesthetic (they told me to take two paracetamol before I went!), hope it comes through quickly for you xx

Hi there. I had a Hysteroscopy on Wednesday - but I was having a laparoscopy and they did the Hys while I was under (general). In am in Surrey - took 2 months from GP referral to surgery, and that was with a 2 week delay due to having Covid (they need 6-7 weeks clearance for general after Covid). I think they are catching up now, so you may not have to wait long! Good luck 💕

I've just been told I will need hysteroscopy and my consultant said the wait is 6weeks. On the NHS web it says it's over 24 weeks so we will see.
