I am at the clinic and I’ve been offered IVIG (£2500) today as my NK cells are elevated. Is there any point if my hcg does not rise well? I am almost 6 weeks, I had intralipids last week before my NK test results came back, just to be on the safe side and act immediately. Unfortunately I didn’t start treatment before transfer as my transfer was on NHS. Please give me your honest opinion!

IVIG opinion
If your clinic feel there is a chance it could help sustain and grow the pregnancy, and you’re able to, I’d go for it. Your HCG numbers from what I can remember were in the healthy range but hadn’t quite doubled within 48 hours, so it doesn’t mean it’s over. Mine hadn’t quite doubled with one of the tests but they were really high, I was so anxious about it and I went in for treatment also and the midwife told me not to worry, the numbers were still good!
Everything crossed for you 🍀 xx
Hi ❤️ just wanted to say huge good luck with it all and sorry you are going through this added stress 😔 hope it all works out OK 🙏❤ sorry I can't help with this question xxx
Hi lovely, sorry that you are going through such a stressful time. Are you on any other meds like steroids? Would your clinic recheck your hCG first before wading into pricey IVIG? Would it be worth having a scan if you are almost 6 wks?xxx
Hi there, yes plenty. 2 steroids, 2 clexane, 6 cyclogest, 1 prontogest, aspirin and also 3 progynova. They are checking hcg levels now and will give me a scan before IVIG. Not sure if i’m doing all this for nothing but who can tell?
Ok so you're on loads of progesterone which is good. Steriods cover also good, could they even up your steriod cover to 20mg from 10mg? Have they said how raised they are? I'm not all that clued up on IVIg to be honest but have heard of someone having it and being successful....do you know the celeb Frankie Bridge? Well her sister had a successful pregnancy with it after many losses. However I think she had it from the start. I would see what your hCG is doing before jumping in as I dont think it can rescue a failing pregnancy so if things arent looking good then it may be for nothing. I guess you'd have to get your clinics opinion on that.xxx
I know, as you say it would be for nothing but what would my decision based on? Hcg levels? The scan? What they recommend?
You should be able to check the rate of rise from your last hCG to this one. There are a few calculators out there. If they go ahead and scan the clinic should be able to give an opinion on whether they think the pregnancy is viable. I'm sorry, I dont mean to sound callous if this does.😘xxx
Can you help me with this please? They didn’t offer IVIG in the end because of my hcg result today.
They were all taken 48 hours apart, only today it was taken after 24 hours.

How many days post transfer is the first one? I tried to post a link to a calculator but it wont let me.🤔xxx
The first was was taken at 15pt.
So from a calculator the increase of doubling in between each one is 67.14 hours, 71.17 hours, 136 64 hours, 63.16 hours. So apart from the one slow rise between your levels are rising within normal limits albeit not very high. I think it's probably too early for a scan though, as they sont normally scan until over 10000. Have the clinic said much?xxx
I feel like there was a huge jump between the last 2 taken in 24 hours compared to before. Yesterday I was so so desperate, today I have a bit of hope left. Hoping for the same result tomorrow although it’s the scan that counts. I think tomorrow they won’t see much but just want to see if it’s all in the right place 🤷🏻♀️
IViG didn’t work for me….but intralipids and steroids (25mg) did.
The immune specialist clinic in Epsom says that IVIG has same results as intralipids and doesn’t justify the cost. They also said you need combination of intralipids and steriods together, can’t have one without the other x
What dose of steroids are you on? Yes, I did one intralipid before transfer, but if your embryo has already implanted then maybe you didn’t need it anyway?
I mean it worked, as in, it was a successful pregnancy x
I’ve just caught up on all of your updates. Gosh I’m hoping and praying things are going in the right direction lovely, can’t imagine how stressful this has been. For what it’s worth my successful transfer protocol I was on 25mg steroids (prednisolone) until week 12. It was a high dose but I really think it helped and made the difference. Sending you so much good energy right now 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🍀🍀🍀xxx
