Hi all, I have been tested for NK cells and have the following markers increased before conception:
1) Activation marker of Total NK Cells - Total Nk69 Absolute count and
2) TH1:TH2 cytokine ratio IFN-gamma IL-10 (CD3 + CD4 T helper cells)
I was prescribed only 25mg Prednisolone from 5th day of stimulation. Do you find this reasonable or should Intralipids be also added to the treatment protocol?
My clinic are not very agressive in treatment and I am concerned this treatment might not be sufficient.
What was your treatment to be successful?Thank you for sharing!

Hello lovely, I took 2 tablets of dexamethasone of 0.5mg a day from the beginning of stims, together withi intralipid infusions.. Dexamethasone is much stronger than prednisone- I think 2 tablets of 0.5mg dexamethasone correspond to almost 40mg of prednisone (but I am not sure about it, please check with your doctor)..anyhow, that round gave me my beautiful baby boy, 6 months ago.. I am positive steroids did the trick..good luck!! 🍀P.s. after getting a BFP, my doctor switched to 20mg of prednisone (bit by bit, it has to be gradual). So I took dexamethasone during stimulation and transfer cycles.
I had one infusion the day before transfer, another one after BFP, one after the first heartbeat at 8 weeks and after that,my doctor recommended having one infusion every 2 or 3 weeks until 20 weeks of pregnancy (approximately)..It’s important to follow your liver parameters called ALT and AST since lipids can increase them and in that case, they should not be given anymore.. I will check which exactly I took and let you know..🤗
I had a miracle BFP from natural conception after 2 NHS transfers ended in miscarriage and one natural miscarriage. As soon as I had the BFP I joined a clinic and they put me on 0.5mg Dexamethasone and intralipids every month until this week, it’s the first time I’m almost 20 weeks. It is intense and very expensive but worth it, ask your clinic for intralipids or another clinic can follow you when you get your BFP. Good luck! Xxx
hi thank you very much for your reply. Do you know what was the infusion exactly and how many mg? I can check with my clinic to prescribe the same. Did you have to repeat the NK tests while on intralipids?
