I think every clinic is different. Some believe it helps with implantation, others don’t. You tend to start early on them if you’ve a known blood clotting issue (I have APS) or perhaps miscarried before. I remember my gynaecologist before I started and was referred for IVF saying that I wouldn’t start aspirin until I got a positive test, not beforehand (that was before I had an identified blood clot issue).
Trust your clinic, everyone’s experience is totally different and we are all given our own advice which may conflict with others - don’t let that cause you any stress or concern though and if it does, ask your doctor about it. I had the same today for instance with a drug I’m taking, and wondering if it’s safe because I read otherwise and they reassured me it is so I’m just going to stop searching for others advice on that particular drug and trust my clinic.
Exactly what XOXO said. Aspirin and fragmin are given differently depending on your clotting profile. Like her, I have APS and a history of miscarriages so I actually started both when stimming. Trust your clinic and try to relax and unwind. The magic may well be happening right now! I hope you get a BFP next week. 😘
Hi Mai. most clinics advise them once you have a positive test to ensure a nice even blood supply to womb and lining. Hopefully prevents any clot formation too. Good luck! Diane
