Pessaries and lying down

I'm in my TWW and back in the office. Today I took the progesterone pessaries but couldn't lie down for 30 minutes and now I'm sitting here worrying about them not being absorbed. Will this be ok if you're just sitting and not lying down? I know I'm being paranoid but 😬 😬

Hello! Not sure if this helps but on days when I can’t lie down after using the pessaries; I use the back door rather than the front. (TMI, in know) but with IVF there is just no room for modesty πŸ˜‰

Deffo use the back door instead of the front. My first IVF I spent the whole time worrying about how much I was losing as I couldn't lie down all the time.

It took a lot of mental prep but once I did one in the back I never looked back. So much easier and no need to lie down.

Good luck x

You can only use the back door with certain brands of pessaries not all. Check with your clinic before doing this to make sure they are the right ones x

Awful how this whole experience turns us into such worry warts. I’m endlessly worrying over every tiny thing now.

I was fine until this morning, it's also hard to keep on top of meds now we're starting to head into the office. Nothing is easy 😸

Im a teacher and in my TWW I couldn't sit or lie down for 30minutes after inserting a pessary either. The most I sat for was 5 minutes and I'm now 10 weeks 4 days pregnant.

When I had my little girl I was on loads of pessaries and during the day I never was able to lie down. I think it's the gel that you really need to lie down with, rather than the pessaries. Good luck xxx

Oh great, Thank you. I'd be lost without all of you're expertise! X
