Progesterone Pessaries

I've been told I can stop the pessaries now that I've had a negative test.

Any idea when I'm likely to bleed?

Silly question but is this just my period being delayed? Then after this my next period will come as normal?

My cycles were like clockwork so I'm wondering how messed up they might be now.

I am sorry your round wasn’t successful. Generally you tend to start your period 3-5 days after you have finished the drugs but everyone is different, I always bled before test day!

Don’t be surprised if your cycles are a bit screwy for a few months, in fact I often ended up with a ‘new’ cycle post an IVF round xx

Sorry this one didn't work. Normally you should have a 'withdrawal bleed' a couple to a few days after you stop the meds but it can vary. It is a delayed period in a way as you ovulated (just artificially stimulated) and then the meds maintained your womb lining so it didn't shed. So when you come off the meds it mimics the hormone drop you'd get naturally and you shed the lining and have a bleed, just not necessarily at the same time as it would have happened naturally. My cycles have generally returned to normal straight after the withdrawal bleed, even after early losses, but lots of women say their cycles are messed up for a while after. You can track your ovulation using test sticks if you want to see when that's restarted and so when you could expect the next natural period.

When I stop pessaries (after being on no other medication), I bleed two or three days later and it doesn’t seem to impact my next cycle (although that’s after not having been on other IVF meds!)

I stopped the pessaries on Wednesday and started bleeding today so 2/3 days after.
