Low Progestrone Levels

I’m supposed to be going for my FET tomorrow and got my progesterone levels checked yesterday and they came back low 29.7nmol/ l with 2 days Lubion am/pm. My clinic has now asked me add the pessaries am/ pm too. They will retest tomorrow(transfer day) but if my levels are not looking good they will cancel the FET.

I have been using 2 x Evorel 100mg - changing every other day - I’ve only ever used the Progynva so don’t know if the patches have something to do with it.

My last cycle my levels were 65nmol/ 2 days before transfer but than dropped to 40 nmol/ 3 days after transfer so they asked me to take pessaries but I think it was too late by than.

Ive been very anxious this cycle as this is my 5th transfer and have invested a lot in to this cycle so desperate to have it work.

Has anyone got any recommendations that I can do to improve my levels?

Hi Jasmin, I always struggle with my progesterone levels. My clinic pretty much always starts me on 2 x cyclogest a day and 1 x lubion - then ups it to 3 x cyclogest and 2 x lubion (after transfer and blood test). Could you add another pessary? Good luck xx

Thanks Millbanks, I have been on 2 x Lubion since Monday and they’ve got me started on two pessaries since the results yesterday- I’m tempted to add another one but don’t know if I should check with clinic before.

In my experience you can't have too much progesterone!! xx
