Hi everyone. I have always read the posts on here as I find them extremely informative but have never posted. So this is my 1st post. I just wanted to share my journey thus far and give women in their 40s who are trying to conceive a little.hope. I am 45 years old and my husband is 40. We have been ttc for 2 years. I conceived naturally in sept 2020 but ended in a missed miscarriage. We have been trying ever since and no luck..so we decided to go down the IVF route and chose create fertility in St Paul's in London. Our treatment the clinic recommended was ICSI mild/modified cycle which started straight away and after some fertility tests we came to learn that my husband sperm had low morphology. Only at 1% ..minimum should be at least 4%. Which probably explained why it had taken us so long to conceive naturally. All my tests were fine other than me having a low ovarian reserve but this is expected due to my age. I took all the stims and I managed to have 2 follicles ready for egg collection. 2 eggs were retrieved where only one fertilised successfully. So you can imagine how slim our chances were of success. I had a fresh transfer and thank god everything is fine so far. My egg quality was graded as grade 1 which I was really pleased about this is probably due to all the vitamins I took 2 months before to help produce healthy eggs and it paid off. I am now in my 2ww and everything seems to be fine so far. I know it's too early to say but we only had 1 attempt to nail this as we went private and could only afford 1 cycle. I want to wish everyone the best of luck and babydust to all. I never imagined I had any hope with just one egg at my age but it is possible. As they say you only need 1!! Good luck to you all. xx

All the best dear. Moreover, i have learned through this platform that first time you may get less eggs but try again n u can hav more than 8 eggs roughly. And its the quality that counts. So take good care of yourself n happy baby dust.
Well done you are 45
What is the clinical like? What supplements and how much did you take
Hi bluelady-sing. Extremely happy with the clinic so far. Everyone so nice and friendly and very helpful. I took my normal pre conception seven seas but I also took 5 htp, inositol, vit D3, coq 10, fish oil 2 months before my treatment was due to start. Normally they say you should start your supplements 3 months before.aby treatment. I just hope and pray I get my bfp in 2 weeks time. Finger crossed for everyone who are on the same position..XX
