Otd today & first frozen transfer bfn.

I feel so confused, how has it happened again? They got excited in the transfer room because it was ‘expanding’ , pumped myself with more meds than before, even took the time off work... & still negative.

We’ve always had negative results so I’m confused by what’s causing this & why my womb keeps killing babies. We’ve been pregnant naturally twice before.

I’m lost & im scared the clinic will be lost too.

Has anyone got any ideas ? What do we do now?

I’m sorry this one hasn’t worked for you

I remember my first transfer - an FET I was so excited just to get there and had all these dreams that it would work first time for us….and it was a massive shock when it didn’t and it really shook me and I lost a lot of confidence

Do you have any more frozen or do you need to go for another collection?

If your lining looked good and your progesterone and you have no diagnosed implantation issues then sadly it’s likely just luck of the draw with that particular embryo and there is no reason to suggest the next one won’t work x

To be honest I didn’t have success until transfer 4 and had twins. I didn’t do anything different for that FET in fact it was in lockdown so didn’t have any acupuncture etc - I did lose about 1/2 a stone in the weeks leading up to it but I wasn’t hugely over weight. I changed protocol to natural modified IVF though and my embryos were much better quality x

I’m so sorry 😢 it’s just the absolute worst feeling when it doesn’t work.Unfortunately there are sometimes no answers as to why it doesn’t work.

They say most of the time it comes down to the quality of the embryo.

Do you have any more embryos left ??

We’ve got another frozen. I just don’t know what to do next or what to try next.

Do I try steroids, intralipids, progesterone checks, acupuncture?

I’m so confused by it all.

That’s great you have one left 😀 it could be the one 💜Talk to your specialist about further testing that can be performed before transferring it 🤞🙏

Im so sorry to hear this, it's hard seeing a negative test 🥺 take time to heal!Do you have any frozen embryos left ?

I know you mentioned you have been pregnant twice naturally, but I don't know if you can develop auto immune issues later in later in life, ?maybe speak to your Dr and ask about testing for Nk cells?

Also did your clinic check your progresterone for your transfer?xx

We’ve got one more frozen on this cycle. They didn’t test progesterone & I had bloods with them but I think they were viral related.

Aww ok fingers crossed for when you can try again You could suggest era/ immunity testing.

I had that test and they changed my timing of my transfer by 12 hours and added steroids, clexane injections to my cycle. Plus added lubion injections aswell as pessaries x

I’m in a similar position. Had 3 previous natural pregnancies (1 gorgeous 4yo, 1 stillborn, twin missed miscarriage). I’ve done 2 full IVF cycles, with PGT-A and EMMA, ERA, ALICE tests - and have had 3 failed transfers despite high quality (eg. 5AB, 5BA) and adjusted transfer times. there is nothing notable as to why they aren’t sticking - I’m told it was 90% chance of working. My doctors are all shocked. They all told me I’d be pregnant 1st round. 2 years on, still no luck. Just had my 4th FET of a 6BA, was told it was beautiful, albeit they couldn’t do PGTa on this one - so have gone with a natural cycle this time. Doctors still think it’s just a numbers game and eventually one will stick. I’ve always been very healthy but even made loads of dietary changes, giving up gluten, dairy, sugar to reduce potential inflammation. Also do a lot of yoga and mindfulness. It’s so hard not knowing but I find that doing thinks like diet, mindfulness and yoga and least make me feel like I’m actively doing something despite the fact that none of us have control in this situation. If il you haven’t had lots of tests, maybe start there. But also look at your diet and explore whether you might have any inflammation which is a common cause of infertility that doctors often don’t look at. Good luck!

Thank you for your message. It sounds like you’ve got a lot of stress too.

How would I know if I’ve got inflammation?

I find the process & 2ww incredibly stressful so I’m going to try acupuncture on the next one.

It’s very trial & error but I know from previous pregnancies that as quick as it can be a no it can turn into two lines the next month so fingers crossed.

Do a quick google on the inflammation- but those with endometriosis and other conditions are more likely too - there are a range of symptoms and most of us have some inflammation - Zita West has a good book that discusses it and you can check out her site - I figured it can’t hurt when there are no other answers! I’ve also been doing acupuncture regularly which has definitely helped with the stress. On top of all of this - we are about to move country so now I need to find a new clinic if this one hasn’t worked! We will get there!
