Update....

Sorry to anyone having a bad day and who finds this news tough to take..I have had so many days like that but just want to offer you a bit of hope and please hang in there. Miracles do happen at the least expected of times.

I have been very quite of late....exactly 21 weeks of quite!! Officially half way to our dreams finally coming true!!

Can't believe it's finally our chance for some good news.... I am only now starting to tell select friends that am pregnant, I almost don't really believe it myself and when I find myself saying the actual words out loud it doesn't seem real.

It's been such a long journey and am taking nothing for granted ...my 21wk scan yesterday confirmed I have a low lying placenta and baby is measuring a little small. But am trying to stay positive as I know both those things can change and baby's measurements aren't always accurate... If my placenta remains low I could be looking at a C-section, but after everything else we have endured to get here what's one more surgery - rite??

We had quite a scare at 6wks - where I bleed- and have had some very bad migraines along the way but over all I feel very normal!! Which is probably why I don't really believe this is actually happening...my iron levels are better than ever thanks to 5mts of being period free!!.

I have no real bump in the morning but come 7pm it suddenly appears out of no where!! Have had a few little flutters in last few days which am hoping will become stronger kicks as the weeks go by.

Am officially working from home as of yesterday which is great as am still not 100% sure what to do about the covid vaccine. I have my consultant highly recommending it but my Gp has said she is still in 2minds herself and if it was her baby she would hold off simply because of the lack of proper testing/long term outcome on baby.... So am at a lost as to what to do for the best.

Am guessing this is just the start of a lifetime of worrying about this little boy or girl.... But am so looking forward to all of it!

Thanks to everyone for all your support and advice..you have seen me through some of the worst days and am forever greatful to you all .. best of luck to all on this crazy journey!!

Congratulations. I am behind you am 20 weeks pregnant also. Also i have a low laying placenta on my last check up but it was my boy whoes placenta was laying low so i am guess you are pregnant with a boy 😆🤣. I am pregnant with twins a boy and a girl but they say they will watch it till 30 weeks if its still laying low than i have to do C- section. I also haven't taken the vaccine also because i am not comfortable so will do it after the birth of my children. Good luck to you.

Congratulations!! That is amazing news! 🥰 Glad you are feeling well and those flutters will get stronger 😇😂 Catches my breath sometimes, but it is an amazing feeling! Like you, I am just so so grateful we are here! Just hope it will all go well till the end!! 🤞

Also have a low lying placenta, so got a scan next week (34 weeks) to check if it has moved 🤞 they say in 9 out of 10 it does move!

Congratulations again and I just wanted to wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy!! 🧡

Well done! As the weeks go by you do start to believe but it's hard to relax. I didnt have the vaccine as I felt I just couldnt be sure it was safe even if they say it's ok and we go through so much to get here, only you can decide. All the beat with the teat of your pregnancy.xx

Hi Annie Mac. Lovely to hear that you are now half-way through your pregnancy. Perhaps you could sonsider moving to the following group and then to the NCT Forum after baby arrives. As you know this Forum is really for people still struggling to get pregnant and various treatment problems. Here is the link for the pregnancy after fertility problems FB group - the online meetings are all posted there - facebook.com/groups/Pregnan... Thank you. Diane

Congratulations on this wonderful news!!!! I also had a placenta praevia totalis and my baby was measuring small. I was put on medical leave and on bed rest due to the placenta praevia totalis and while I was worrying about the measurements; my „tiny/small“ baby really was gaining on weight and catching-up every time they made scans (every two weeks). As long as your baby is gaining weight, they don‘t necessarily have to be in norm/„standard“. Every baby is different in size and weight. With regards to the vaccine, go ahead with what makes you comfortable. There are pregnant women, who have had received the vaccine. I wanted to have it as well, but while my ob-gyn was supportive my GP was against it, so have to wait for now. Good luck xxxx
