Pharmasure vs ASDA

Hi, my clinic uses Pharmasure. I just got a quote sheet from them:

Meriofert £23

Fostimon £23

Fyremadel £25

Suprecur £42

Does anyone know if these are a lot cheaper at ASDA? Do they accept digital prescription (PDF on my phone), or only an original printout? Do they do home delivery at all?

I am trying to weigh the pros and cons. My clinic charges £25 for private prescription if I don't use Pharmasure. My nearest ASDA is about 20min cycling away, not too bad, but I am a little wary about going into a crowded indoor place in fear of cycle getting cancelled due to Covid positive.

Many thanks

Hi LRed, if you call up your local Asda and asked to get put through to the pharmacy, they’ll take the details over the phone and give you a price.

If it is cheaper, you can email the prescription to Asda and pay for the meds over the phone, but you will need to bring in the original signed prescription when you go to collect.

Means you’d just be going in to the store once.

Good luck x

Thank you so much! I didn't think that I could just call them and get prices :) Just spoke to them on the phone, Meriofert and Fostimon cost £279 for a pack of ten. So I will go with Pharmasure.

I’m pleased you’ve sorted it out. I found that Asda was only cheaper for actual stim drugs. Everything else seemed more expensive because the meds weren’t exclusively fertility drugs so didn’t fall under their price promise.

Hello!

I use Asda. I used pharmasure in the past and it was quite expensive.

Where I live in London, I email through the prescription for a quote. But when I purchase, I need to take the actual prescription and pay with card as they dont take payment over the phone.

The only thing with ASDA is that the fostimon is a special order so takes a bit longer to get 5-7 days. The other you can get next day if you order before 2pm.

Good luck lovely!

Saved about £500

It's only a tiny bit cheaper than Asda I think it depends on the meds

They are 100% legit the meds are delivered by stork. I've just finished a cycle using drugs from that website and have 4 embryos so nothing to fear lol xx

Hi! Yes Asda is much cheaper as they don't apply VAT on IVF drugs. I saved over a grand using them instead of Pharmasure or Stork. Xx
