lubion price 2023

hi everyone, I’m a little bit frustrated at my clinic for using pharmasure which charges £18 for a 25mg vial of Lubion.

Does anyone know how I can get it cheaper from other pharmacies? Thank you ❤️

I’ve recently had the same issue. I’ve just had to order another 7 to get me through until test day £105! Such a joke.

I did get a private prescription from my clinic and did try and get them cheaper but I had no joy: the chemists by me could not get them in or the day they coould get them in would be too late. Not to mention they are more expensive from the chemist than the clinic I’m under. In the end I had to order from my clinic again. If I am pregnant it’s going to cost me £105 a week until I’m 12 weeks that’s like £1200. It’s my last shot with my last embyro so I thought I would add the extra lubion injections. Definitely comes at a price!

I did hear supermarkets like Asda etc are cheaper but when I called they couldn’t get me any 🤷‍♀️

Such a nightmare the prices of the medication. Xxxx

I’ve bought them from Asda before and it is much cheaper, if they have them in stock. The only things to bear in mind are that a lot of clinics charge for a private prescription, which can outweigh the savings, and you do need to source all the needles / syringes separately.

I’ve just been stung by this too. I swear in December I paid circa £5 a vial. It’s crazy how much the prices have gone up x

Asda pharmacy don't add profit to drugs. I got all my lubion from them last year I can't remember how much it was but it was far cheaper than the company Storke that the clinic used. If you give them a call they should be able to tell you the price then you just need your clinic to give you a private prescription. They did take a few days to get it in when I gave them the prescription so you would need to put it in before you run out. They also don't dispense needles but I just spoke to receptionist at clinic said I hadn't been given enough needles and she gave me a bag of them. Apparently they keep spares for this very reason. I took lubion for 12 weeks and clexane saved sooo much money by getting it from Asda x

I've just had some from ASDA and it was £56 per pack of 7. They said generally 3-5 working days to get them in but actually they managed the next day as there was some at the warehouse. Boots were even cheaper but said it could be up to 10 days. The clinic's provider was at least double the cost and they wanted to charge masses for delivery.

I use stork through my clinic and it’s just cost me £57 for 7 vials. And I got next day delivery.

Could I please ask if you remember whether The Stork charged a fee? I am sure I ordered before from them through my clinic and there was a fee of £60. I can't remember if this included postage or just a fee.

Yeah I think there was a £20ish fee but because I ordered all my drugs at once.. didn’t seem so much.

Hi Manu,

The cheapest I have found outside ASDA is The Fertility Medication Centre online and they are quite caring and understanding. They get theirs from Stork, still cheaper than my clinic who also use Stork.

I got all my Lubion from Asda, it was about £56 for 7 vials....it was the cheapest we found (and was also suggested by our consultant) xx
