hi everyone, I’ve been to Asda tonight to get my drugs costed up to compare the clinic costs and the saving is so huge I think it must be a mistake. Can anyone share the savings they made doing it this way? It can’t be right!
thanks

I’ve not used Asda as my local one isn’t good for IVF meds but I have used the fertility medication centre and had £500+ savings vs clinic.
I saved so much using Asda - my clinic charged £120 for seven vials of lubion vs around £50 at Asda! It was a huge saving, definitely recommend them.
I used Asda too....it is crazy the savings! It makes me angry to think that clinics think that it's ok to charge what they charge...
Asda offer non profit on fertility drugs so it’s likely to work out a lot cheaper. Is has for me quite a few times now.
it’s not a mistake. They are by far the cheapest and I don’t use anyone else. Unless, of course, there is a shortage. There was last summer and I had to get one med from the clinic. Even Folic acid is £1.25 at Asda vs £12.95 elsewhere.
I read somewhere that someone senior at asda went through fertility treatment that’s why they sell the drugs at reasonable prices
I used asda too!
Hi Cassie, I’ve used Asda as well. I actually posted a spreadsheet comparing prices between Asda and various online pharmacies—feel free to check my past posts. If you’d like more details, just send me a DM! Hope that helps!
Hiya I would like this information too if possible please
I can’t remember exact savings but it was about half the price to go to Asda! These clinics are really sneaky as they make out you have to get from them! However, mine has now started charging £250 for a prescription if you want to go elsewhere to deter you from doing so!
thanks everyone. I’ll double check it all - i worked it out as £1200 cheaper which still seems so much. Also terrified of actually ordering this way and not having the right things or running out or there being some other issue
I also save £1000 on meds by going with Asda!
have just spoken to clinic and reworked it according to some different amounts/types and is now only £200 cheaper so may just go via clinic for ease!
I saved over £1000 using Asda. When I almost ran out I paid my clinic £20 for a private prescription and Asda had the meds in around 2/3 days later before I had completely run out. x
