I have had 4 transfers 2 frozen and 2 fresh

Unfortunately any combination can fail. If the embryo is a viable embryo it will implant. If it’s not it won’t.

Our first round we had to freeze ours because I had a large polyp that needed removing

After that the first FET implanted and I MC the week before our 7 week scan.

The second FET from that cycle failed, didn’t implant.

Our next round they put a fresh one back that failed before test day. The other two we had PGTA tested. Because I was 40 yrs old and they were chromosomally abnormal so went in the bin.

Our third and final round, we have done a donor egg round, I’m 41 now and my 30 yr old sister was our donor.

We have three embryos from this round, the first fresh one they put back implanted and I’m 12 weeks today, nervously waiting for our scan on Thursday, hoping everything is still okay.

I can’t remember what the grading of our embryos are, because realistically it doesn’t matter. The grading is a matter of opinion by the embryologist that’s looking at it. By eye, they will not be able to tell you if it’s a viable embryo or not.

I'm sorry to hear that this round hasn't worked for you. It's such a hard journey, be kind to yourself and do something nice for yourself.My fresh transfer didn't work but my frozen transfer did, I'm now 16 weeks.

I hope the next one is the round for you xx

Thanks. Can I ask how long did you need to wait after fail to try FET?

Of course, I was told I had to wait one period in between but because of Christmas and clinic bookings ended up being about 3 months. It was good for me to have a bit of break just to let me body and mind recover, I was pretty devastated when it didn't work. The second time I had acupuncture which I think helped me to keep calm a lot x

Hi hun so sorry your transfer didn’t end well. My 5AA fresh transfer ended in a CP but currently 31 weeks with my 4AB which was a FET.

Also only waited one cycle to go again x
