3 Eggs Collected - I hope I get my get my golden egg

[Nufc30]

AMH 5.4, 31, moderate endometriosis,first round IVF ICSI, baseline line scan - 5 follicles. Today was Egg collection day, 4 good sized follicles, 3 eggs retrieved and waiting to see whether fertilisation was successful.

It's crazy how we put our bodies through this process and how we still persevere when we're were faced with negative outcomes.

Reading through everyone's experiences gives me so much hope and whether the outcome is negative or positive I'm so glad I signed up to this network!

I agree there is so much support on this site. Are you on a long or short cycle? I had a much better response on a long cycle.

Thank you :)I'm on a short cycle. I was stimming for 7 days and suddenly there was a big panic on day 8 as 2 dominant follicles grew 6mm in one day while the others lagged behind. Atleast some eggs were retrieved!

So you had more follicles and eggs collected through your longer cycle than other cycles?

Yes! Far more and more follicles of the same size. I am hopeful for you but if you don’t have a successful transfer ask about a long cycle. I have an AMH of 8ish but a little older than you. Best of luck xxxx

Cheers, I will defo keep that in mind if I get to that point! I was on a high dose of menopur, but I've been reading that lower doses may get a better response. Who knows , let's see what happens in the next few days. I hope it all works out with you too xx🤞

Hi I'm 39 with an amh of 10. Do you mind me asking how many eggs you got with an amh of 8? X

Yes I have had 4 cycles - the 3 long cycles I had between 8-10 each cycle and the short I had 4 xxx

I had good quality blastocysts with the 3 long and transferred plus had 5 to freeze in total. On the short I had 2 early blastocysts/morula and nothing to freeze x

Hi that's really good to know. I believe I'm on the long protocol. 3 weeks of nasal sprays. 2 weeks of injections? Xx

Yes that sounds right. Although I had 6 weeks of injections but yes a long build up prior to Ec. Wishing you all the luck xxxxxx
