If you had a natural cycle frozen embryo transfer (FET), I am wondering if you were prescribed progesterone support (e.g. cyclogest or crinone) and when you started it. From day after ovulation? Or from day of embryo transfer? Or some time in between? Curious to know what protocol other patients are/were on. Success? (It seems to depend on the clinic's/doctor's protocol, more than anything, though many seem to start progesterone from transfer day.)
I tried a fully natural last time, my natural progesterone was high. Now on a modified natural with progesterone support (cyclogest 400mg, twice a day).
Thank you in advance.

For frozen at my clinic it’s two doses of crinone 5 days before transfer for a 5 day blasto. Then keep Taking until test, then to 11.5 weeks if it works . Hope this helps 😘💐
Their plan worked once for a fresh cycle , but not my frozen but I’d say it was the embryo that was the problem and not the protocol.
For frozen they also have you on estrogen tablets three times a day for ten days, then scan the lining, if ok they add the progesterone in for the five days and transfer.
Every clinic is so different and also , so are we as women. If you are not happy ask your questions and try your best to see if it feels right fir your situation. 😘💐
My last FET was natural and I started pessaries straight after the transfer and then Lubion injections that evening. Carried on until 12 weeks, I’m now 37! xx
(I am reposting this, because I realize I previously erroneously posted it not in reply to you, so you may not have seen it.)
You started pessary immediately after the transfer, not hours later?
I was a bit concerned that my clinic wanted me on pessaries days before transfer. (Because my natural progesterone is very high, judging by previous cycles.) I guess protocols differ.
Thank you! Yes literally when I went to the toilet after transfer I did it then. Then a Lubion injection that evening & the next pessary. I’m not sure whether you can have too much progesterone or not? I have always had my levels checked on the day of transfer to ensure it’s OK and they’ve called me the next day. Wishing you all the best xx

I was given Utrogestan for my last FET, 3 times a day. I started on the Sunday evening, had just 1 and had my transfer on the Wednesday. I'm now 7 weeks pregnant and stopped taking it 2 days after my BFP.
It was natural, I had to track my ovulation, as I got my peak in the evening, they wanted me to start the progesterone 48 hours later, so I used just 1 pessary on that evening, and had all 3 the following day if that makes sense xx
Thank you, Chicky86. I have Cyclogest pessary, not Utrogestan. Same effect I suppose.
Sorry to bother you again.
What was your lining thickness at ovulation, if you don't mind sharing?
And did they scan your lining again at all between ovulation and embryo transfer? If they did, did lining compact/thin during the period after ovulation?
Hi, um I don't remember exactly but it was 7mm something! They scanned me the morning after I got my peak. They said it was thick enough so I didn't get scanned before transfer x
I was surprised, I expected to have to carry on, but they said I would be producing naturally as I had ovulated naturally. I was pretty anxious, but I trusted what they said. Fingers crossed all looks good with my scan on Tuesday!
I’ve done two natural cycles but unfortunately both BFN. First one took progesterone 5 days before transfer through to test day. Second time completely natural no progesterone. The consultant said that on natural cycles they advise completely natural and as the progesterone made me really bloated first time around I was happy to scrap it xxx
First time around they didn’t check my lining at all, second time around (the no progesterone cycle) I asked for ultrasound guided transfer and they recorded my lining on the day of transfer as being 12mm so nice and thick. I didn’t have any scans before transfer. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage good luck for this transfer xxx
PS I should say, I asked the clinic what they look for in terms of lining, I’m pretty sure she said above 5mm for a natural and above 6mm for a medicated xxx
