I’m doing a natural FET (with a trigger and progesterone suppositories). I am going in for a day 10 scan on Wednesday and wondering what the likelihood is that I will trigger then- so those of you that are doing natural cycles, when did you trigger?
I know everyone will be different as it depends on your cycle, but I wondered if there is a general trend at all…

Hi lovely! It varies depending on your cycle length - I think most people trigger on day 12-14 but it depends how long it takes for the lead follicle to reach a certain size. Good luck xxx
As previous post says it can vary and is dependant on follicle growth - time it takes for lead follicle to reach a certain size - ask your clinic to explain this to you during your scan
Hello, I normally have a very long cycle but the last FET I ended up with a mature follicle on day 10 (to my super surprise). It ended up being the round that worked. I'd say anything is possible but normally it would follow your cycle. Best of luck x
My egg retrieval was last year, this was my 5th FET. I had a little break during Christmas and start of new year. And this FET was back to back with my 4th. Seeing baby dust x
I triggered on day 12 (to ovulate on day 14 which was literally when I would normally ovulate). They were scanning me days 10,11,12 but also checking my blood levels (LH, progesterone) because I had big follicle on day 10 but my lining was not perfect and my hormones were not there yet. On day 12 everything went as they wanted it and I triggered that evening. I had blood work again one day before transfer to check progesterone and because it was good I never used any progesterone supplementation. My natural was trigger and then 5 days corticosteroids (prednisone) and I was also on baby aspirin until positive test (I had two early miscarriages so maybe that’s why). Good luck! 🙏🏻
