Having a reaction

I started using the pessaries on Sunday and since then I have had one or two spots at the top of my leg (FET was Tuesday). But today I have come out in a lot more on both legs, around my arm pits, a few on my arm and tummy. Does this look like hives? Do you think it could be a reaction to the meds? Iv been through all of this twice before and Iv never had anything like this. I’m worried to take anything in case I do something wrong but it is so bloody itchy. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. Xxx

We spoke on the other thread. My doc said it’s ok to take piraton but I would check with your doc. I am really itchy and when I scratch it comes up in white bumps but then settles down after a few hours. It’s not quite the same reaction as yours but similar. Xxx

I just seem to be getting more and more as the day has gone on. It is driving me mad now. Xx

Hi Rfletcher. Oh dear, that's not nice! It could be a reaction to your medication, unless you have a candidas infection. You must speask with your GP and get some treatment. Good luck! Diane

I phoned my GP and they told me I couldn’t see/speak to anyone as I had been given the meds by a different clinic and it wasn’t on my notes. The clinic have told me to see my GP. I’m hopefully having a call back this afternoon. The itching is driving me mad. Xx

Hi. Oh dear! Your GP will sort something out for you I'm sure. Diane xx

The call back is from the IVF clinic not the GP, they don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t understand why someone who has a medical problem can’t speak to a doctor or nurse. My IVF clinic is 45 mins away though.

Hi. That's not very professional, but fingers crossed your GP will back soon after lunch. Diane

Sorry got a bit muddled up. Hopefully the clinic will sort you out, but I still think your GP could help you . An over the counter antihistamine could help, but Piriton can cause drowsiness. Thjere are plenty of non drowsy ones. The pharmacist at the chemist could recommend a cream too

My clinic have phoned and they are changing my pessaries. Fingers crossed it is them and it works as it’s quite a costly change. So grateful to have something to try though. Xxx

Perhaps speak with the pharmacist at your chemist too and see if he/she can suggest something to help until it settles down again. Diane
