Hi guys, I've been matched with frozen donor eggs just waiting for my the next step, If I get my invite for the covid vaccine I'm not sure to have it before treatment? Anyone is in the same situation?

I dont know the answer but I was wondering the same (but different). Ive had my jab and not sure if that will stop me having treatment and not sure whether to tell the clinic or not! x

Hi hun , my doctor recommended that I will have my covid jab before transfer so I did :) The only thing is that you should not have it after embryo transfer or if is to close to the date.

Hi I’ve just started my medication for my first donor transfer. I was offered the vaccine a couple of weeks ago. I spoke to my clinic and they were happy with whatever decision I made and it hasn’t stopped treatment. I decided to have it as I wanted some level of protection, if my treatment works I will hold off having the second jab until after. This is what felt the safest for me. Good luck with your decision and treatment 🤞🤞xx

My clinic told me to get the jab as long as it was 7 days before I started stims. Most clinics are now recommending to get the jab. Xxx

Yes this is what my clinic recommended. They only say 7 days incase you get bad side effects. Not because they suspect it will effect your treatment.

This question has been explored before and one of the things I noticed is that different clinics have different policies. Best to check like someone else said, most clinics are recommending the jab

My clinic where I am having my 3 cycle package with, said I could have it during stims but not just before EC. However I was invited after my first IVF/ICSI cycle so I had my first dose. But my second dose is due in April which will coincide with my final cycle so I booked a vaccine slot just before. This is just to ensure I had gotten over any post jab side effects before I start stims.

Thank you, I'm about to start my final round from a multic cycle. The good thing is if we do get pregnant it would be reassuring to know we have some immunity so I will be having mine as soon as I can. All the best with your treatment ❤

Thanks and yes you hit the nail on the head regarding immunity! Also wishing you all the best with your treatment. I can see we are the same age so will be keeping my fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏾💗
