Daydreaming of baby before treatment

Hi. Long story short I'm 42, I have 23 yr old and 18 yr old sons, I never had the relationship experience with them and did it all alone. My now partner, the most wonderful man and my soulmate and I are about to delve in to ivf. Low amh 0.5 last June and a bad scan led one clinic to tell me only donor eggs will work as my partner has super sperm but I'm too old. We have decided to go to another clinic after 6 months of me saying ok we won't have a child. Saturday I looked at him and thought that the love I have for him is so overwhelming that we need to try, so had a scan today, wow, what a difference. 40 minute scan, mild endometriosis and fibroid found. 5 great sized follicles and blood taken. We have a consultation next week with the view if looking at natural or natural modified ivf. I guess I don't know if Santa's sack hold presents or is empty (the follicles!) Now I know I have <1% chance but rather than go in defeated I am thinking positive with reality in there saying look, it most likely won't happen but dare to dream, fight for that love and believe you can as its a long, hard soul destroying battle ahead and you gotta do it for the right reasons, not just to prove you can. I just found myself searching baby car seats. My god calm down my brain. Has anyone else done this? Am I stupid to think positive mental attitude and some realistic day dreaming can help get through these lonely times?
