Covid isolation before FET

Hello,

Just a quick question about isolating before a FET. I had a covid test Thursday which was negative and was supposed to be self isolating until transfer next week.

Unfortunately my husband and I completely forgot and he nipped to the chippy to pick up tea (it was empty aside from the serving staff). We feel so annoyed now and will of course let the clinic know.

Do you think I’ll be able to have another test on Monday and still be able to have my FET next week?

Or will it push me back a month?

I’m so annoyed at myself, already had a stressful week and was finally looking forward to transfer next week 😔

Thanks xx

Hey, I'm sure every clinic is different; but our clinic also advised to self-isolate if possible. My partner is working full time and is self employed - meaning that he is in daily contact with at least ten people. I can work from home; so I think if you're just cautions and wear masks you'll be fine.

If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't tell the clinic as you didn't go out and as long as your partner wore a mask...

They will check your temperature on arrival anyway and check for any Covid symptoms.

Best of luck either way xx

Thank you! So annoyed at us - we just completely forgot!! I will tell the clinic as I just want to be on the safe side but definitely a lesson learned here xx

We were told its a good idea to isolate just so we don't get covid and miss the treatment date because we're ill or are forced to isolate but I work in a school so was impossible to do and they still allowed it as long as I had two tests in the week before transfer. I'd say don't worry, I think its just to protect your cycle as much as possible x

Hello, I was told to self isolate, but I explained what my job role was (within a school) and the clinic just said keep as safe as possible. We didn’t have tests before transfer. Our transfer was during lockdown 2. They are quite understanding. X

I wouldn’t worry about it or mention it either. Only you are supposed to self-isolate, not the rest of your family.

Is lateral testing available in your area? You could both get tested again that way to put your mind at rest?

All clinics have different COVID policies so you will need to ask your own clinic what they would like you to do. Ours only wanted me to isolate not hubby, although he did anyway (as did the cat 😂). xx

Mine told me to self isolate after covid test on Friday. So I’m working from home until my transfer. If I was in your position I wouldn’t tell the clinic. I would just be extra safe from now.

Thanks everyone! So I told the clinic and they were absolutely fine, just said technically my husband isn’t self isolating and as long as he took precautions with mask etc it’s fine. Honestly I’d worried myself!! Lesson learned ha.

Definitely being careful this week though xx
