Should I ask for Lubion in 4th fresh cycle

Hiya, I was hoping for some advice from the knowledgeable ladies out there! I am speaking with my nurse today to organise meds for my 4th fresh cycle. I am wondering whether to try and get Lubion injections this time around...

My first fresh cycle I bled early on Utrogestan so when I had a FET following that they gave me Lubion after transfer, as my levels were low, and that was the only time I got a positive test (although it was a chemical).

On my 3rd fresh cycle I used Cyclogest twice a day and I popped in an extra Utrogestan just in case as I had them spare. After the transfer they said my levels were good so didn't need any Lubion and I didn't bleed early.

I wonder whether it'd be worth requesting Lubion this cycle just to see if it helped, though I know my levels weren't low last time so I might be wasting money for no reason.

Is it less important to have extra progesterone in a fresh cycle than in a FET? I don't know a lot about it all and my brain gets fried from researching so much.

Does anyone have any advice they could offer?

Thank you so much x

Hi Aussie. Speak to the nurse about having your progesterone level checked, in case you should need a boost. She may even suggest combining the two anyway. for the reasons you've already explained. Good luck next time, whichever way you go. Diane

Your body should be producing it's own progesterone in a fresh cycle - especially after having several eggs collected (the egg shells are what produces it, so imagine one cycle where you release one egg you have 1 eggs worth of progesterone, after several you'd have even more). Best thing to do would be to have your levels checked throughout the 2ww. x

With my first FET I had a bfp and a heartbeat then a miscarriagemy progesterone levels were never checked

I did spot non stop so I have a feeling now that my progesterone was low :-(

I regret not asking for lubion

with my next FET I will be using lubion and I will get my progesterone levels checked

It's £56 at ASDA a box of 7 (£8 each vial)

The cheapest I've found.

My consultant told me to inject Lubion in the morning and take Cyclogest at night time.

Hope this helps xx
