Hey everyone. I’m having a medicated FET, went for my day 13 scan to see if I’m ready for my progesterone. I’ve never had lining issues, but today I have a good thickness (11.3mm) but definitely not trilaminar.
I’ve been told to increase my progynova to 10mg a day and we will check again on day 17.
The Dr suspects that I may have already ovulated and is checking if I am producing progesterone. In that case I didn’t respond to the progynova and my cycle will be cancelled.
Has anyone else had anything similar happen and had to cancel cycle? Or any tips for lining?
Is there any hope for it for become trilaminar even though it has already thickened?

I had a cycle cancelled but for different reasons. My lining was too thin and wasn't trilaminar. It's such hard news to take- I always thought this was the easy part!
Have you been taking any supplements to help the lining develop?
I've been taking raspberry leaf supplements and drinking raspberry leaf tea, as well as pomegranate juice, beetroot juice and eating Brazil nuts.
My lining this cycle was very trilaminar so maybe that would help?
Hi HemBella, thanks for your reply. That’s amazing regarding your lining now. I keep hearing the the trilaminar appearance can be more important than the thickness so fingers crossed for you. I never took supplements aside from some extra Brazil nuts, as it’s such a curve ball for me, it’s never mentioned as an issue and I’ve had so many FETs.
I will definitely try the supplements. How often did you drink the tea and juices?
Do you have medicated cycles or natural? I’m thinking of having a natural next time. X
How frustrating - sorry to hear this lovely. I've never had that before, but often have lining issues! I don't have any advice I'm afraid but I just wanted to wish you all the best xx
Thank you lovely.. I’ve never heard it either, so don’t know how much of a chance there is for things to improve at this stage. Apparently linings can be too thick also so I’m hoping the increase in progynova won’t do that. The good news is I got a call to say I didn’t ovulate so it’s not completely over yet 🤞🏽 How are you getting on? Any news of pesky cyst? X
I start on the norethisterone on Sunday then have a scan next Friday - so hoping its disappeared by then! Would be so great if it has and we can just crack on xx
I've had medicated cycles but was also considering natural next time.
I have a raspberry leaf supplement in the morning and one in the evening. And two cups of raspberry leaf tea in between. Any more is over the recommended daily allowance.
You can drink as much juice as you like- although I've gotten to the point where pomegranate juice is quite unpalatable so I mix it with some fizzy water and try think of it as a treat!
Thank you, I ordered the raspberry leaf. I mix things to water to help me drink more of it, so maybe your tip will work for me too lol. Good luck to you also x
Hey there, my lining was 14mm after 20 days of progynova and patches, but got cancelled as there was no trilaminar pattern. I have since done a natural cycle and got perfect trilaminar. Sorry to hear you’re having the same issue, it doesn’t seem that common.. , did you do a medicated FET? X
Thanks for your reply and I’m taking estrogen atm for my fet which is suposed to be next week I have another scan tommorow to check the lining but today it wasn’t trimilar but it was measuring 10.5 my clinic in the Uk doesn’t seeem to think this is an issue and I’m in two minds on what to do X
On my previous scans eg. taken at egg collection, there was evidence that I did achieve a trilaminar pattern, which was a factor in cancelling the FET cycle. I think it’s worth asking them if you have evidence of achieving it in the past and go from there. Also if you ovulate naturally, I would ask to try a natural cycle to see if it helps.
I understand your dilemma. I was told they aim for a trilaminar pattern but some women never achieve it and it doesn’t mean they don’t get pregnant, apparently there isn’t a lot of comparative research. Is this your first FET? X
It’s my first frozen yes but I’ve always had trimilar lining before I’ve had so many scans and also with my fresh it was there I’m having one last scan now and see what they recommend
Ok great that you can achieve it. Would you mind letting me know what they say? As my previous clinic transferred on non trilaminar but then cancelled on the next cycle when it wasn’t.. so I also don’t know what the recommendation is. Good luck 🤞🏽
