I am currently 4 weeks 3 days with a 5 day blastocyst but the more I'm reading things it seems medically they would consider this about 2 weeks more, can anyone clear this up for me please as I'm having my first scan on Tuesday and in my mind I will only be 5 weeks and 1 day which is too early to scan.
Hoping someone can clear this up for me please X

Hi Bernie, yes you add two more weeks so you are 7 weeks not 5. Hope this is clear. They count the two weeks extra from your last period, even when it’s ivf and they know when they put the embryo back. Xxx
All pregnancies are counted from the date of your last period. So even with IVF they add the two weeks asif you’d conceived naturally. But when transferring a 5 day blasto it’s already done the work that would be done in that time, eg the time it takes for the egg to release into the tube, the time for the sperm to reach the egg & the time it takes for the embryo to come down from the tube into the uterus. All that is skipped with ivf and done for us. I hope that makes sense too as to why time is added xxx
