Hello everyone- my daughter had a fet on May 4th it was a 5day embryo and did her test yesterday. A clear blue one that said she was 2-3 weeks pregnant (so excited!). But how many weeks pregnant is she really as obviously can’t count from last period?
Lots of baby dust to you all. I Am in awe of all your journeys ❤️

If she had a 5 day transfer on the 4th I take it she had her eggs collected on the 29th April? 2 weeks back from that (14 days) is the 15th April which on a typical ‘normal cycle’ would be day 1. In doctors terms your daughter is 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant and they will use the 15th to book her in on the system (it doesn’t work for IVF dates). Clear blue count from ovulation (so egg collection) so 2-3 weeks looks exactly right! Congratulations x
Sorry my baby brain is working today, just realised it was a FET, so where I say egg collection that would have been her ‘ovulation’ in a natural cycle 5 days before the embryo was put in 😊
I'm very lucky for it to have worked first time and I'm currently 15 weeks pregnant with my first Plus I was eligible for NHS help which certainly helped, we probably could have found the money for a go and perhaps a couple of frozen rounds as they are cheaper if you have some for it but not round after round like some people have. I do feel blessed as although we needed help it's not been as bad as some peoples journey's. Wishing your daughter all the best for her first early scan, one of the bonus's to having an IVF baby is we get an early one for free x
How exciting! Congratulations!! It varies depending on typical cycle length, but the easiest way to work out the number of days gestation is to add 2 weeks + 5 days to the transfer date x
I used this website to calculate - remember that medicine calculates the weeks from before conception!
