Hi ladies, I have just been to the clinic for a second hcg test, to see if my levels are doubling.
I have been having some bleeding (not lots) and cramping on and off, so they thought doing bloods would help to see if its progressing. So I wont know until tomorrow. I am obviously worrying about it π«
What I couldn't understand is she was reluctant to scan me today to see if there were any reasons for the bleeding as she said I was 5 weeks and a few days, and it was too early and didnt want to create unnecessary anxiety. I have it as I'm 6 weeks today. I've done 3 online calculators and they say the same. I just dont get it?
My 5 day frozen embryo transfer was 24th November, can anyone she any light?
Thanks xx

I think they have made a mistake! I have you as 6wks today too. The only thing that I can think of is that they want to be able to give you reassurance with a heartbeat which may not be established by now and that can cause anxiety.....Im guessing of course. Keeping my fingers crossed for you bloods.xx
I think they have too, I'm glad you've worked it out the same. Yes she was very honest and said there may not be a heartbeat just yet, and I agreed not to have a scan. Thank you lovely, I'm hoping theyve doubled π€π xx
I hope so. My levels were 8134 on tuesday which they said was expected for this point of pregnancy. Its just never reassuring when you see blood and have pains, you expect the worst dont you xx
Perhaps another reason they didn't scan as they like to see hCG over 10,000 before scanning as that's in indicator they can see what they need to.....just borderline for you! Its awful when you see any kind of blood, you can feel your stomach sink to the floor! Hang on in there, let us know how you get on!!xx
Thank you lovely, I wonder what theyve done wrong. Maybe theyve not counted the 5 day old embryo, and making me 5 days earlier than I am π€¦ββοΈ xx
I really donβt how how she has come up with this calculation, but donβt stress too much about it- at this stage in pregnancy a few days variation is expected as itβs just human error! Your HCG levels are great ππππππππ€π»π€π»π€π»π€π»π€π»β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Hello! So after your levels are over 1,000 they should see you. They may not see the heartbeat but theyβll see the sac, fetal pole and positioning. Thatβs what my clinic did and I was 6w2d when they scanned me for the first time. My levels were in the thousands at that point. Your levels are looking great so you should ask for a scan for sure xxx
Thanks for your reply lovely. I just had this feeling with them closing for xmas tomorrow that they were rushing me today and weren't on their normal top form. I will have to call my early pregnancy unit if the bleeding continues and get scanned as they are closed now until january π€¦ββοΈI'm hoping I'm on enough progesterone π¬ I'm on 2 pessaries and 1 lubion π€
Might speak to them about that tomorrow when they call with my blood results xx
Yes, absolutely. This is such a vulnerable time in early pregnancy to 8 weeks so pays to be extra careful. Can they measure your progesterone level too? I just feel that after everything we go through, we need total assurance that everything is as it should be. Keep us posted xx
I will mention it to them, but I think it's too late to check my levels now they close today until Jan π«I'll let you know the results when they call, keep your fingers crossed π€π¬
*little update* my hcg level is 14549! It's gone up 75% in 48 hrs, they say they like it to be at least 60% so they were happy that hopefully it is progressing as it should be. The bleeding and cramps have stopped for now π€πNow just to wait for my scan. The clinic cant get me in until they open on 4th Jan, so I've booked another one for 29th dec π¬ xx
