Hey, I haven't had a polyp removal but I have had my septum resected and also had a number of hysteroscopies. I wanted to reassure you its a doddle, its painless.. you have the nicest sleep and there really isn't anything to worry about. As I understand it you may have a few period type cramps and a little bleeding afterwards, but nothing too terrible.

I know it sounds weird but I actually have learnt to quite enjoy the feeling of falling asleep with a general and the good nights sleep afterwards! Good luck x

Hi lovely, I’ve had a polyp removed and it was fine. As Daisy says it’s just a nice drift off to sleep and wake up with it all done. I didn’t have much pain afterwards at all.

I also really enjoy the feeling of anaesthesia! I can see why it’s addictive xxx

Thank you so much for your reply! Honestly helped my nerves alot im driving myself crazy over it xxx

I understand your worry. I had never had a general anaesthetic until last year, and then suddenly had three within the space of six months. I agree with Daisy that you actually can quite enjoy them! The bit just before you fall asleep feels so nice - like you’re very drunk and happy. Then suddenly you’re waking up like no time has passed. Depending on what you have done, they’ll probably give you pain killers during the surgery and you won’t feel much discomfort when you wake. Good luck x
