So last month I went for my second scan on day 14 and had loads of free fluid in my uterus. It appeared from nowhere. I cancelled the cycle as I wasn’t in the right frame of mind either. My doc said sometimes the fluid can be reabsorbed when you start the progesterone phase of the cycle before transfer (frozen embryo transfer). I’m going to go ahead with this cycle and take the progesterone and the clinic with the evaluate the situation day before embryo transfer. Obviously I don’t want to waste money but I’m going to see if the fluid goes. My doc also said he can try and syringe the fluid out. They will try everything for me.
Has anyone had this? Any info or opinions will be greatly appreciated.

I’m not doing IVF, but I went for a scan a few weeks ago and was told by my specialist (I’m with a recurrent miscarriage clinic) that I had fluid in the womb. Started cyclogest in the hope that the Progesterone might help and clearly it did, as I’ve just got my BFP! I was so worried and disheartened, but the fluid must have gone by itself. x
That’s such a relief, congratulations x so pleased for you. How did you get on at the recurrent miscarriage clinic? What was the problem? Did they find out? So so good you are pregnant, that’s amazing xxxx so pleased for you x
Aw thank you! I’ve been with the clinic for a few months, after my last miscarriage in July. That one was an ivf pregnancy - we thought that controlling the process might help, but it didn’t. The recurrent miscarriage specialist I’m with in Epsom diagnosed immune system problems, and I’m now on medication for that. I also think my egg quality isn’t great - if you read some of my past posts, you’ll see that we created a large number of abnormal embryos during ivf. It seems this may have been partly due to the stimulation protocol I was on, but I do think part of it is the eggs. So I’m just praying we have a good one this time! xx
Yes I will have a read. I hope so too! A fantastic ending to the year for you! I’ve had one problem after another as well. I lost a pregnancy in October at 9 weeks so I’m hoping for a positive outcome again. Transfer 10!!! So upsetting every time xx
Oh you poor thing. Ten transfers is so gruelling. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you very soon. Keep the faith that the fluid will shift on its own - it clearly did for me. Plus, I hear you’re more fertile right after a miscarriage, so although it’s hard mentally, physically it’s probably a good time to try again. I’ll follow you, as I’d love to keep track of your journey. x
