Morning ladies 🌅
My Friday 13 difficult transfer turned lucky on Wed, day 5! I'm so happy and anxious at the same time (IVF is such an emotional rollercoaster, isn't it?)
I caved in and tested as I had 0 symptoms -except exhaustion -and the only instances when I had a positive test was when I had terrible cramps. This was in 2012 and 2019 and both ended in chemical pregnancies.
So I guess the lack of symptom is actually good news for me, perhaps?
When I tested on Tue, I was expecting a stark blank test almost laughing at me and telling me "yeah, you wish!". But instead I gasped when I saw that nice strong line on day 5.🥳
As you can see, the lines are progressing very nicely . The test at 3am is typical ! IVF insomnia and anxiety☺️
I read some interesting scientific studies saying that it's a good sign to have a positive test around day 6 as HCG levels at this time are a good predictor for live births. This put my mind at rest ( just a little bit) and I can't wait for my beta on the 27th. It's early days still and I'm trying to stay positive.
**"Some intel if you're interested***
This cycle is different form my other ones.
Blastocysts were genetically tested and this specific embryo is an icsi and has had assisted hatching so I wonder if this would be the reason for a very early implantation since it's a frozen embryo. I also wonder if working from home and not commuting every day has also had an impact.
I'm on a super high amount of 3 types of progesterone: Intra muscular injections, oral and pesssaries. My levels were 150 on transfer day. Also having heparin injections to help with implantation.
Hopefully more to come with a positive update!
