Anyone had a successful implantation with a fibroid?

Hello everyone, I have my last frozen embryo transfer in a month and I have a super annoying fibroid which is pushing my uterus to the left. It isn’t indenting the cavity hence why they are doing the transfer. However they’ve given me a 5% chance of implantation which is grim chances. Getting it removed isn’t an option as there’s a chance of a hysterectomy if op goes sideways and it could be a long wait on NHS.. would love to hear any fibroid pregnancy experiences. Thanks so much !

How are you doing? Yes I was told I had multiple fibroids at 31. Then I wasn't married.

Fast forward two years later I got married and the doctors said it's fine it won't cause issues in pregnancy.

I was having heavy bleeding which always made me anaemic.

During my ivf journey at 37, the gynaecologist suggested I don't operate on it as it will scar the uterus and make implantation difficult.

I quit dairy products, lost weight from 88kg to 75kg. This reduced my heavy bleeding.

At 39 I went for ultrasound /scan as advised by a gynaecologist to ascertain the areas the fibroids were located.

Mine was located on the muscle of the uterus and fortunately I fell pregnant and carried to term at 38 weeks /4 days.

Don't worry about that as stress is not good for you. Pls try and avoid surgery because there might be a possibility of the uterus being taken off due to excessive bleeding.

God will see you through. It's not easy I know. Hugs

Hi Mary, thank you so much for your honest reply. It’s so good to hear your positive experience with horrid fibroids. I e also had similar advise about risks of removal over implantation chances. It has always felt too risky to end up without a womb but would love to get rid of fibroid too! Mine is sub mural which I think is in the muscle too but pushing uterus but not indenting it.

Absolutely you are right stress is so bad for us so doing my very best to relax. I’m also aneamic too and still heavily bleeding. I’ve also quit dairy and acupuncture has really helped my cramps and pain.

Thank you again for sharing x
