Hi Katrina, that's wonderful news! I know what you mean about taking time to deal with the end of your own genetic fertility. It's been hard for me too. But I can assure you that once you're pregnant, the love you'll feel for that bean is unprecedented. Origin is irrelevant because it's yours.
As for prep, I had to ensure I was calm and relaxed because my prolactin levels were too high for a transfer. Prolactin levels can fluctuate when you're anxious, loose a lot of weight rapidly, or even from wearing too tight bras. I ditched sugar, fizzy drinks, caffeine and alcohol several weeks before the transfer because I wanted to allow my body time to adapt to any changes. I was already on a good pre-natal supplement but I started planning my meals ahead to ensure I was getting a broad range of vegetables, proteins, omegas etc. None of this was drastic as I was already living quite a healthy lifestyle, but those 'treats' got exchanged for fruits and medjool dates (from Waitrose and M&S - I really did want to taste the difference from my usual Aldi satsuma haha).
Basically, I'd say just get into a good routine a few weeks before earlier and drink at least 3 litres of water a day. That's the main advice my clinic gave me. Lots of water.
Good luck and looking forward to hearing about your success on here xxx
