Can my injection still take effect ?

Hi need advice my partner has had to start giving me my progesterone injection in the top area off my buttock ,my question is the first on the nurse did it and I felt alot more reaction from when he did it ,could he have done it too low down and if so will it still do it's job ,it's really niggling me ? It might be the nurse injected it into your gluteal muscle whereas your husband may have unknowingly been too gentle and only gone as far as the subcutaneous area. Should be absorbed the same, just normally when advised to inject into the intramuscular area its due to the volume of the drug.

Try googling images of IM gluteal injection sites, this might give him a visual of where to inject

Thanks for your advice I have I will show it him ,I just wanted to make sure I would still get the medication, he did inject it all,just I got a lump and a bruise off when the nurse did it and hers seemed a bit more painful which made me think was it right x

When I was doing injections in my stomach there was some days it stung more than others. I think it depends on lots of things: speed,angel, and specific area will probably impact the sensation.
