After 3 years of trying and two miscarriages I was delighted to have my first positive pregnancy scan last week. I am now 8 weeks. The little heart was fluttering and was nice and strong. I am so happy however I have also been worried because I have a bicornuate uterus (heart shaped) and the baby is located in the right horn. Has anyone got any experience of pregnancy with bicornuate uterus? I have googled but there's mixed advice on whether it might be a problem or not. If you also had this issue, did you have a pre term birth? Did you give birth naturally or c section? Thank you for any advice. I would like negative and positive stories! xx

I have one apparently. I say apparently because I was never told until I was 6 weeks pregnant. I had so many tests and scans over the 4.5 years, plus 5 rounds of ivf and no one ever mentioned. So when the epu nurse said that I had one I didn’t know. I had a healthy baby girl 2 years ago now. Apparently when the baby gets to a certain side, it’s irrelevant because it makes the uterus the shade it needs. I hope that makes sense. I had a section but emergency. I was going for a natural but wasn’t possible due to low heart rate, not because of uterus.
