Missed progesterone injection

Hi ladies,

Just looking for opinions please!!

I’m taking cyclogest twice daily and lubion injection every other day - which I marked on my calendar.

I feel so dumb that I messed up my markings and have missed an injection dose somewhere (over egg transfer time) and taken injections 2 days in a row this weekend! Would this make any difference at all having 2 back to back doses of progesterone. I plan to miss tomorrow and carry on as normal after with every other day. I’m in my 2ww and I feel like a such a wally that I can’t calculate dates! I’ve been so organised with all the menopur injections and timings! Would this have an impact on implantation?? I am going through a cuckoo evening and feel deflated 😢 any advice / experience would be appreciated xx

Hey Hun, I’m no medic but I’m on Lubion injections every day so I can’t think doing 2 days back to back would be a major issue?! Does your clinic have an out of hours number you can call? If not maybe just check tomorrow to put your mind at ease. Please don’t beat yourself up I’m sure the fact you’re on the pessaries and injections will be fine xx

Thanks for the reply xx

I just don’t want to ruin anything! I’m thinking I missed a day around egg transfer, which is really annoying me as I don’t feel confident about this transfer already.

I’ll give them a call tomorrow, I don’t want to disturb a poor nurse on Sunday night with what has already been done xx

Hi hun, my honest advice would be not to skip tomorrow and just carry on as normal for now. It's probably better to have too much than too little, since it's not something you can 'overdose' on as such. Since you consistently had your cyclogest twice a day it probably had no real impact so don't worry that it harmed anything. Maybe call your clinic tomorrow morning to confirm xxx

Thank you Chel xx I will give them a call to check and see what to do like you say, they might tell me to take tomorrow too. I’m more worried that I missed a dose earlier in the week around the first few days of implantation time. I’m grateful to be in the 2ww but the anticipation and anxiety is driving me bonkers xx

Totally understand the feeling, the 2ww drives the best of us insane!! I'm sure the cyclogest had you covered so don't beat yourself up lovely. Sending lots of baby dust your way, hoping this is your time! 🤞💗 xxx
