Progesterone nightmare

hi all, just had my 3rd FET on the 30th so I’m now day 5 in my 2WW. I am currently on intramuscular progesterone injections as well as the vaginal tablets. Last night my husband did the 5th injection in my butt area which already hurts an awful lot but this one stopped me from sleeping all night with a shooting pain up and down my leg I called the doctors and got seen to the next morning. They say it looks like a nerve was hit when doing the injection and to just rest it and it should sort itself. But I’m still in a lot of pain. Has anyone else had this before with intramuscular progesterone injections?

I had these and honestly they were so painful, I would get shooting pains, muscle freeze, horrific aches but just was told it’s just part of the process. The way I found it most bearable was to do them in the morning as soon as I woke up as I found the pain worse if I sat/laid down after so doing it in the morning then moving around all day helped and heat on the area before and after. They are miserable but my cycle was successful with them if that helps xxx

hi thanks for replying!! I’ve been doing them in the evening then trying to go to sleep I’m going to try the morning instead maybe moving around will help it distribute around!! Oh that’s good to hear my test dates the 10th all fingers crossed 🤞 xx

yes I started doing them at night and the pain was unbearable, found them much easier in the morning so it didn’t pool in the same spot.

Have everything crossed for you! ✨

Thank you for your posts as I started these four days ago and I needed some guidance on them.

Can I ask you what progesterone levels you got? Mine is 117nmol/l and was worried it was a bit high. I'm two days before the transfer date.

No worries!

I didn’t start the pio injections till after I got my positive result but after a few days of the injections my levels were above 300 and it was all fine. My Dr said they can’t be ‘too high’ 🤷🏼‍♀️ xx

Thank you, mine have always been lower and previous cycles were unsuccessful so hopefully the higher levels will make a difference 🤞🏻
