I am finally after so long having my embryo transfer tmr! Inam so anxious of what i need to do and what not! I used to exercise a lot running every day walking and weights but i stopped during the fet and oestrogen as my lining was thin. I am only walking now on my treatmile at home for an hour at around speed 6. And doing some squats and pilates! Should i continue this during the tww? Or not? Any advice would be appreciated!

It’s totally up to you but personally I’ve always walked during the 2WW as it keeps the blood flowing which is good for implantation. Do whatever you feel comfortable with. Wishing you lots of luck xx
I do 3 weights classes a week I'm normally a heavy lifter but I've reduced the weight and carried on. From what I've read if your generally a healthy person who exercises continuing it won't make any difference. They do say no Hiit though. There's a lady who is 9 months pregnant and planning to do the weights class before her induction on Tuesday. I'm 8dp5dt today and generally feel OK, this is my first round I've continued as normal. 4th transfer all 3others were BFN so I decided to carry on as normal this time xx
Thank you! I know a lot of women that do weight lifting through out their pregnancy and its actually beneficial! I am worried about the implantation period and the tww but i think i will keep the walking on the treadmill for first week and see how it will Go with some exercises as i might go mental if just do nothing! Wishing you best of luck! Fingers crossed for you and i hope this will be sticky! So glad that you feel well and keep your routine! Thanks again
It’s ultimately up to you but I would take it very easy for the first three days because they’re the most crucial, that’s when implantation happens. After that you can be active but modify it a bit, try not to raise your body temp too much. After all, it’s only 10 days so not really a big ask.
I’ve done five transfers (currently in the TWW for the 5th one) and this time I decided to be less active (3 days of taking it very easy) and from then on, I walk 5km every morning and stay active during the day.
Transfers before I modified but was back at the gym real soon, went for big hikes, did weights etc. don’t know if that had anything to do with chemicals and a bfn but this time I’m taking it very easy.
Hello! First of all i wish you best of luck for this transfer. And i am really sorry for your losses! I agree with you for the first few days i am just going to do very light short walks and then increase it slightly and see how it would be after the first 8 days! I just want to be as safe as possible and walking seems the safer option! Thanks and best of luck
I got told no exercise, only walking and definitely no lifting, bending over or jumping etc. Take it easy, I know it's hard if that's you're normal stress escape but will be worth it if you get a good outcome. Lots of fresh air walks help clear the head. Good luck.xx
