IUI cancelled - should i take norethisterone

i have had my IUI cycle cancelled as yesterday on baseline they discovered 2 cyst 21mm and 27mm. they have advised me to take norethisterone to prevent it growing and for them to hopefully clear by the next round. i am convinced that the clomid and other hormones i took produce the cyst. should i go natural to let them dissolve or take the pill. im so confused.

Im so sorry Rumi (love the name) for having your iui cancelled. I have had cysts in the past and they did disappear on the next scan even though i felt a bit of pain. I didnt use norethisterone for this but i did use it for starting up my period for ivf. I took it 10 days and 5 days after stopping it period started.

Are you regular? I know clomid makes your cycle shorter so you might be. Not much of help but just wanted to say that it roughly takes 15 days for your period to start with norethisterone.

thank you minisami...cool name too

can i ask how large your cyst were. i am very regular 28days. i was a poor responder so they cancelled my IVF cycle last month. this month was IUI not that has also been cancelled. im not having much luck. i don't really want to take the drug and let the cyst clear naturally but i also want to start my IUI next month and not have to wait another 2 months.

I get your worries. Norethisterone does regulate people for treatment so clinics can plan their cycle but if you are regular (and you did ovulate this month) your aunt flow will arrive sooner (14 days past ovulation roughly) Dont worry too much about the cysts they will dissolve with your period and keep up with the caster oil pcks xx
