Period just stopped

After 4 kids my last by emergency c section my period never came back. My c section was a traumatic experience my son born prematurely. I suffered a severe infection after the birth stayed in hospital for six weeks iv antibiotics. After he’s birth I wasn’t bleeding normally it was pus hence why I was hospitalised. This was 2007 now 12 years later period never came back no explanation through doctors all investigations done still no period. What could have possibly gone wrong. Anyone experienced this. I am so depressed that I don’t feel womanly enough for myself and husband I was 27 now am 40. Shall I just let it go and see it as just a misfortune

Hi Tikgal. Sorry to hear of your anxiety. Perhaps see your GP for a referral to a gynaecologist?? More likely to be hormonal and not down to the traumatic birth you had. Just to remind you that this site is for people trying to get pregnant or seeking fertility treatment. Good luck! Diane

If gynae doesn’t help try natural medicines... Chinese or something. They may have herbs to balance out your cycles.
