I took my last dose of progynova on Monday when my FET cycle was cancelled and still no sign of a break through bleed or period. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? X

When to expect a period after stopping Progynova after cancelled FET cycle
Sorry that your transfer was cancelled. I think it depends. Mine took about 10 days.
I’m in the same situation only it’s been 3 weeks since I stopped progynova and still no period. My period was due 2 weeks ago and I’m usually like clockwork.
I’m a bit worried tbh because the clinic didn’t give any information about this and I’ve tried to Google to see what’s normal but not found anything useful. 😕
It is very difficult to know what to expect. I am going to wait until its 10 days and contact my clinic. It its been 3 weeks for you maybe you should should contact your clinic and see what they advise?
Hi zebedee, did you get your cycle yet? I am currently cycle day 41 and the clinic are prescribing me medication to induce a bleed
Hi Lougoose, yes I did my cycle was 44 days long.
I take my bbt everyday and could see that my temperature was low and I had a really long follicular phase of 34 days. Once my temperature had risen my luteal phase was a normal length.
Will be interesting to see what happens this next cycle and whether things have gone back to normal. X
I started super light brown spotting on Saturday 13th after stopping progynova on Wednesday 10th. That has continued each day since but no sign of any flow yet. Anyone else had this? This is my first cancelled Fet, after failed fresh transfer in December.
Hi All, I stopped progynova on Friday after cancelled FET and started spotting last night. The clinic told me because I had a 14mm lining I should expect a heavy period. But I’ve barely got a flow. This is my first cancelled as well so I also don’t know what to expect. My new clinic are allowing me to start a natural FET straight away so I was hoping my period will get on with it! I’m sure you all share the same sentiment x
Definitely! Why did they cancel? Is 14mm too thick?
They gave me 20 days of progynova as my lining wasn’t becoming trilaminar, so it got very thick but they weren’t happy with the quality. I really don’t suit medicated cycles, so they cancelled and I’m trying natural. How about you?
5mm after 10 days of progynova and only 6mm after another week on increased dose. So they are going to just up my dose from the start of the next try. But after that spotting, nothing has happened. So I'm not sure when I'm to expect my period.
Hey hun, I continued with a very light flow. I had a scan on Friday and they said it’s a normal period. I had googled before, it said having unbalanced high oestrogen (which is I guess what we had with the progynova) causes a very light flow.. could the spotting be your period? X
Awww bless you, so sorry! Mine took 3/4 days xxx
After my cancelled cycle in November mine took forever! I had light spotting mid December which was around the time I was due a period. But the spotting was for one day only and so light if you blinked you could have missed it!!
My proper period only arrived at the end of January!
Thanks for your reply. That was a huge amount of time. I still have no sign of it either. I have to call the clinic again on Monday which would be 2 weeks. Wasn't there any medication they could give you to make it happen? I'm waiting to bleed to start the next process x
I was desperately willing my period to arrive so that I could start another cycle - I've never wanted a period so badly!I had actually had a phone consultation with Clinical Consultant on the day that I was spotting and she reassured me that it was perfectly normal not to have a proper period straight away. If I hadnt gotten my period in January they would have given me some medication to kick start things again. But I was keen to wait for that cycle and try and keep it as natural as possible - before starting my next FET cycle.
I'm glad I did as I feel like I had a proper detox - and the proper bleed was 28 days from the spotting
Yes i agree with you about taking thr least amount of medication needed. I had 12 days of progynova. My lining was 9.2mm but I had an 11m follicle on my ovary and suspected fluid/polyp. The consultant seemed to think my own hormones were running in the back ground, so next FET I will have down regulation medication first. Hopefully the fluid/polyp situation resolves itself by then too. Maybe i get my period when it would have been due next week xx
I had a mock cycle last August with progynova and cyclogest for my ERA. After withdrawal from the progesterone, I bled in 3-4 days. I was to let that cycle go and do my FET the cycle after that but I never got my period in September. I went on until cycle day 52 without a bleed till my clinic intervened. They made sure I took a pregnancy test before prescribing me Norculot to bring about my period. Took 2 tablets for 5 days then stopped, the withdrawal brings a bleed within a week of stopping it, in my case 4 days after. I transferred that same cycle and got my BFP in November. I think your clinic should be able to step in if this goes on. Xx
Thank you for your reply. I will speak to them and see what they say about this. My natural period would be due next Wednesday ao hoping it comes next week. I want to get on with the next stage. IVF is so frustrating at times xx
Can I ask why you did a mock cycle? My clinic haven't mentioned this xx
We wanted to get the ERA test done before my first FET, they take a biopsy of your endometrium to check whether it is receptive or not after a certain number of hours on progesterone - gives an idea of the best time to transfer embryo(s). Clinics usually recommend this to couples who have had repeated implantation failure to rule out progesterone/uterine receptivity issues but we decided to do it before our first cycle, safe to say I needed 12 extra hours on progesterone and we got our BFP.
