I did FET last September 2019 and delivered in 2020 May... I wanted to ask when can we start planning to transfer for the second? when everyone transferred after delivering a baby?

delivered in May 2019, when can we start planning for the second one
My clinic said it was at least 18 months from delivery to another transfer and I’d require specialist doctor sign off to reduce that to 12 months
(I had a c section with my first baby though)
My RE advised to wait a year after giving birth to have another transfer.
Just curious when would you like to do that? Because, you know, the situation with coronavirus doesn’t seem to get better and a lot of people face financial problems. I hope that’s not true for you and wish you good luck. Maybe 9-12 months wait would be fine.
Do what feels right for you. Our first son was born after 5 failed IVFs, we almost lost our faith at that point… But miracles happen! We started trying for our second at 9 months. My RE didn't require me to stop breastfeeding, but I did have to be ovulating naturally. We did failed natural FETs in month 10 and 11 (fortunately, we had four frozen embryos left at Biotexcom – two per each cycle). I had success (naturally!) at 12 months pp - 2 weeks after weaning. Depending on your fertility issue (ours is unexplained) you may not need ivf second time around. If you have time it's worth a try.
My best friend succesfully did it at 5 months PP. 🤪 Both amazing pregnancies, no complication whatsoever, vaginal deliveries.
The advice is to leave at least a year between pregnancies, IVF or otherwise. Congratulations on your little one and good luck with the next transfer when it rolls around xxx
I guess one question is how big an age gap do you want? If you had a c-section I know there are minimum times they like you to wait but if you had a normal birth then you should be able to go faster. If you are breastfeeding you may find you are unable to conceive or if you need to go down the IVF route again the meds may not be compatible with breastfeeding. It’s worth a call to your clinic to discuss.
