All going well I have my ET on Wednesday.

My clinic have already prescribed me low dose clexane due to repeat MC but haven’t decided on aspirin yet.

Has anyone been prescribed both?

Any suggestions great fully accepted!

Hi there

I’ve been prescribed prednisone (starting 5 days before FET and carrying right through), antibiotic and aspirin. I have a history of recurring chemicals.

HI, just interested to know if you're able to take Prednisolone at the moment as I've had it in previous cycles but can't at the moment due to Covid? x

Hello

The clinic have prescribed it and I’ve picked it up so I assume so. I’m in the States and here they’re so overmedicated so I’m not surprised to be honest!

Ah that explains it!! I was hopeful we’d be able to do it in the UK when I read your post!! xx

Fingers crossed, I think a low dose steroid can’t hurt. Good luck xx

Sorry to hear that you’ve been having chemicals, I’d rather BFNs to be honest! Antibiotics are part of the standard protocol in many clinics in the States - I think the reason is this “During an ET, the embryo(s) is passed through the cervix by means of a catheter. Many variables affect the chance of pregnancy after ET, including embryo quality, uterine factors and the embryo transfer technique. High levels of bacteria and other organisms in the upper genital tract have a detrimental effect on pregnancy rate after ET. Administration of antibiotics prior to ET may reduce the growth of these organisms and improve the outcomes of IVF.”

I did some research and basically there’re no studies that confirm that they are effective. But you know, I’m willing to try anything at this point and this is the new clinic and their recommendation.

Have you done ERA test?

Angels2us profile image
Angels2us in reply toLisichka

Oh I see well that makes sense then , no I haven’t had a ERA test , the Clinc where I am don’t do it , but I could have it done somewhere else though, this is definitely my last go , it’s my third Clinc , I have been too , they are good and I am 45 nearly 46 , it’s a donor embryo this time I had two FET in the 4 months so , this time we only have one embryo left ,so if this time it doesn’t work I think we need to call it a day been trying on and off for 16 years xxxxx

Oh wow, this is so hard!!! Given it’s your last go, may be worthwhile doing ERA just to be sure that you’re receptive and don’t need any extra progesterone. I did ERA in July and it turns out I need one full day of progesterone. There are no guarantees of course but just for my own peace of mind I wanted to do everything I could.

Good luck with your transfer! When are you doing it? Xxx

Not sure yet I think maybe November I can start when I want I just got to get my strength up again to do it , you know how it is , I get really down each time it doesn’t work, my last go was 26 March then like always I get to the test with a positive result then after maybe 1 week the line gets weaker then I stop all drugs and it’s over just like that!!xxx

I completely understand, it takes time to get up, dust yourself off and summon the strength to go again. Wishing you all the luck in the world, I hope you get your take home baby this time! Stay strong 💐 xxx

You could try baby aspirin the 75mg one. We also paid extra and used embryo glue! Good luck xx

What’s embryo glue?

Lucyhannah1 profile image
Lucyhannah1 in reply toLind58

They coat the embryo in it before they transfer it back. It’s supposed to increase chances of embryo sticking. It worked for us xx

Will look in to that! Just had my first transfer and miscarriage🤢 thought I did everything right.

I'm on Clexane for recurrent DVTs and on one of my cycles was prescribed 75mg aspirin as well so it's fine to take both. Good luck! xx

Hiya.. I'm having clexane for the first time this round due to recurrent implantation failure, just waiting for our 4th top grade transfer on the 18th xx

Have you tried EmbryoGlue? Its basically along the lines of sticking the embryo in. I havent had it done but was talking to a lady the other day who is on her 3rd cycle and has had it done this time. Ask you clinic if they offer it. Hope this helps xx

Get your progestrone levels checked.1 day before transfer. If they come back low ask to increase the progestrone. That's how mine stuck.
